Aurora

Aurora Aksnes, born June 15th of 1997 in Stavanger and known professionally as Aurora often stylized in uppercase in the form of AURORA is an Norwegian singer and songwriter. Her debut E.P. Running with the Wolves by Decca Records was released on May 15, 2015, it received a raving review from both music bloggers as well as the media. She has recorded several high-profile cover songs, including Half the World Away (by the band Oasis) to accompany John Lewis' Christmas advert and Nature Boy (by Nat King Cole) that have been widely praised. Katy Perry's praise for her track Runaway via a blog post added to the musician's recognition. Celebrate her special birthday. Aurora Aksnes earliest musical memory is of finding an instrument in her attic and becoming enthralled by the sound it could create. Jan Oystein Aksnes' parents May Britt Aksnes urged her to make music as a means of the sake of personal development, and not to earn money or for an interest. So she started writing her own songs. She cites renowned songwriters Leonard Cohen and Bob Dylan in her influences, along with an affinity for Bjork's style. She decided to start performing the songs she wrote publicly after her mom suggested they can help other people, not gain acclaim for her music, but rather to help those around them see the importance of their work and how they impact the world. She started playing piano when she was just six and began writing music when she was nine. The family did not have any idea until she was 14. The dream was never to become Aurora. Aurora claims she loves composing songs. For her, the music she composes is the way that she feels any thing.
